A popular American dating site will check users for "sexual reliability"

The American dating site Match.com introduces a user check procedure.
The site administration will verify the list of registered users with the National Sex Offender Public Registry).

The register is a database in which information about persons who committed crimes on sexual grounds is entered. Users convicted of such crimes will be denied registration on the site, reports the Rformer with reference to the Associated Press. Match.com users will begin in two to three months.

One of its users, a resident of the state of California, demanded to introduce the test procedure from the dating site. Through Match.com, she met a man who appointed her a date. The first meeting was successful, and on the second virtual acquaintance volunteered to spend it home and raped it. Subsequently, a woman, through the national register of sexual criminals, learned that her rapist was previously held accountable for sexual crimes.

On April 13, the woman filed a lawsuit against Match.com, in which she declared the need to introduce a mechanism for identifying sexual maniacs on the site. The accident would not have happened to her, she claims if the site filmed people whose names are in the register of criminals.

The public register of sexual criminals and sexual crimes appeared in the United States in 2006. This is a joint project of several American departments involved in sexual crimes, and the federal government of the United States.

The register works as a search engine on a website allowing the user to make requests to receive information about sexual criminals throughout the United States.

Not only state and law enforcement agencies, but also ordinary citizens can use the site. The site has a description of sexual criminals, a list of crimes they committed, their car model and home address. Information is updated in real time and currently contains information about more than half a million illegal citizens.

Match.com dating site was launched in 1994. Now the service is valid in 25 countries and has more than 20 million registered users.

The site has a separate section in which users explain the safety rules on dates. They are advised, in particular, to appoint meetings only in crowded places and not abuse alcohol.
