The Pentagon confirmed the data on the first combat use of American unmanned aerial vehicles (UAH) "traitor" in Libya. According to reporters, the official representative of the US Department of Defense Darrin James, "the first blows with the use of" traitors "on targets in Libya were inflicted today soon after noon as local time."

What exactly became the object of attack and where it occurred, an employee of the press service of the US military department did not specify.

Speaking on Thursday at a press conference, US Secretary of Defense Robert Gates announced that Washington decided to use Muammar Gaddafi to counteract the traitors equipped with missiles and bombs. At the same time, the pentagon chief noted that on the same day these devices made “their first sorties”.

However, General James Cartwrite, deputy head of the headquarters of the US Armed Forces, who took part in the press conference, together with Gates, explained that “due to bad weather conditions,” UAU had to be returned to the base.
