
The main owner of the AFC System Vladimir Yevtushenkov proposed to the ex-mayor of Moscow Yuri Luzhkov to work in the petrochemical unit of his investment holding.
“I made him such an offer, if he wants to work,” Yevtushenkov said on the air of the Echo Moskvy radio station during the Great Watch of the Vedomosti newspaper Vedomosti.
According to him, he made the corresponding proposal to Luzhkov, a chemist by education, a few months ago. He emphasized that the country's leadership does not object to this purpose. Now Luzhkov is constantly in Moscow, where he heads the Department of International University in Moscow. “He has enough strength to do large -scale work. I think he will look for a place in business,” Yevtushenkov added.
Earlier, the former mayor of Moscow Yuri Luzhkov himself stated that he was not afraid of criminal prosecution and was not going to leave Russia. "I am not going to leave the country. I am interested in my work, here I am the dean of the faculty of the International University in Moscow, is surrounded by students, I give lectures, I recently gave a lecture on soil science at Moscow State University," he said about his new work.
"In addition to the management of Moscow, what I have been doing for the past 20 years, I have now been in demand in my main specialty - I have worked in the chemical industry for many years in the Soviet period, I have certain plans in this area," said the former mayor of the capital.
Prior to this, the media reported that Luzhkov was trying to get a residence permit in England and Latvia, but he was refused.
The resignation of Luzhkov is associated with the events around Inteko, owned by his wife Elena Baturina. According to media publications, Baturina has been in England for quite some time, where he is engaged in certain business projects, he is not in a hurry to return to Russia. She herself recently stated that she might not return to her homeland at all.
