
The Slovak team announced that in a Sunday match with Germany, Marian Gossa and Mikhal Gandzush would take part. This means that forwards will play on May third against the Russian team.
Gossa arrived in the national team after the defeat of Chicago in the Stanley Cup draw. The 32-year-old striker abandoned 25 goals last season and gave 32 assists. This will be his eighth world championship, reports Allhockey.ru .
Mikhal Gandzush came to Slovakia after Los Angeles lost to the San Jose playoff series. This season, the 34-year-old striker scored 12 goals and gave 18 assists. For Gandzush, the current championship of the planet will become the fourth.
The hosts of the tournament also confirmed that the striker Chicago Tomash Kopetski will not take part in the competition due to the injury of the upper body. Thus, during the preliminary stage, Slovaks retain another free place in the composition.
