One of the suspects of beating ecologists in the Khimkinsky forest on Friday was detained by employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the coordinator of the "Left Front" Sergey Udaltsov from the scene told Gazeta.ru . Later, in the house of guards, the police found and detained another of the beaten activists, the New Gazeta reports.

"After the attack on the defenders of the Khimki forest, we called the police officers. An investigation team from the Moscow Central Internal Affairs Directorate came to us. When they took evidence, a group of young people appeared nearby, we learned one of them, he participated at the end of ecologists at night," Udaltsov said. "We demanded that the police detain them, young people began to run away in response. But two people managed to detain, one of them beat the forest defenders at night," Udaltsov said.

According to him, environmentalists insist that a criminal case be instituted on a participant in the night attack. The police took the detainee.

Later, eco -defenders, together with police officers, searched the cabins of the guards and found another person identified by ecologists as a participant in an attack committed on them. According to activists, on Thursday a man attacked the defenders of the Khimki forest, using physical force. The guards defended the unknown, but the police detained him and also took him to the department.

Public activists defeated the camp at the site of illegal deforestation in the area of ​​the Klyazma River. On Friday night, as a result of attacks on the participants in the eco -camp of the Chop, who guarded the cut -off, and unknown people in civilian clothes were injured by several people, including women. One of the defenders of the forest, a citizen of France, broke the jaw. Some of the victims were taken away by an ambulance. In the emergency room, the activist Oleg Melnikov was recorded by a double fracture of the jaw with a displacement, and also found that activist Sergei Ageev, who had punched his head, was caused by a castet.

In the morning, a group of five unknowns attacked the activist of the Ecological Watch in the North Caucasus Suren Gazaryan when he was traveling on a bicycle from the food camp. The attackers broke his nose.

According to the leader of the movement in defense of the Khimkinsky forest, Yevgeny Chirikov, she asked the policemen in advance to organize a post at the place of deforestation. The police did not come to calls. “There are very few of us here, unfortunately. Therefore, builders who do not have any permissive documents continue illegal cutting of the forest,” Nikitenko said.

In July 2010, in the Khimkinsky forest, about a hundred people in masks blocked the approach of ecologists to the technique that chopped trees. According to eyewitnesses, unknown people, saying that they came to "kill and clean up", began a mass fight. Later, OMON employees dispersed the tent camp.

On August 26, 2010, President Dmitry Medvedev suspended the project for additional public discussion. However, in December 2010, the government commission decided not to change the route.
