Due to the breakdown of electronics in the territorial waters of Sweden in the Baltic Sea, the Opera cruise liner drift, on board of which there are about 1.8 thousand passengers and 200 crew members. This was announced by the Swedish marine rescue and coordination center (MSCC).

The ship, as the Italian news agency ANSA, left Amsterdam and on Sunday, May 15, was supposed to arrive in Copenhagen. However, when the liner in the morning passed near the Swedish island of Gotland, electronic systems failed on board.

According to representatives of the ICSC, "all the electronics turned off, and the engine stopped working."

Now Opera is 10 km from the city of Wiesbu, located on the northwestern coast of Gotland. The Swedish authorities have already sent a tugboat, which should be delivered by a liner on Monday, May 16, to the capital's port of Nuneshamn, ITAR-TASS reports.

According to one of the passengers located on board, they were offered to return 30% of the ticket value as compensation. However, according to him, vacationers intend to demand that they return all the money that is paid for the cruise.

Opera came with a shipyard in France in 2004. The company-operator of the ship is the Italian-Swiss "Kruizes", which is part of one of the world's largest navigable companies Mediterranean Shipping.
