The Moscow City Hall fundamentally promises to demolish all the old five -story buildings by 2014

The program for the liquidation of a five -story housing stock in Moscow, which, by decision of the city authorities, should strictly end until 2014 inclusive, now is currently being conducted by the new department of urban planning policy. According to its leader Sergei Levkin, today, from the total number of houses of demolished series - 1.772 thousand buildings - it remains to demolish 413 objects.

In total, in the first half of the year, 33 residential buildings of the first mass series should be demolished in the city, and by the end of the year the authorities are going to demolish 79 five -story buildings. The official said this in an interview with RIA Novosti .

As Levin emphasized, there is a fundamental position of the city’s authorities: to fulfill their obligations to the residents of five -story buildings within the declared period. "At the same time, fears for houses that should be demolished at the expense of the city budget - and this is a little more than half of all the remaining five -story buildings - we do not have. But there is a second part of the houses whose demolition is expected according to investment contracts. And here we can really talk about a certain slip ," he said.

Nevertheless, by 2014 the authorities plan to finish the demolition and relocation for all the houses entering the program, regardless of whose expense they are demolished.

The site liberated after the demolition of these facilities will actually become a “head” for the construction program of 2012-2016, Levin noted.

The head of the Town Planning Department also commented on information about the possible cancellation of the construction program of 200 skyscrapers - "New Ring of Moscow". According to him, the program has not yet been canceled, but its revision is possible. However, a decision was made on the completion of already begun projects.
