Media: WikiLeaks informant suffered from a mental disorder

The alleged informant of Wikileaks Bradleks, Manning suffered from serious psyche problems, but the command at one time still decided to send him to Iraq, the British newspaper Guardian writes on Saturday.

One of the officers who were responsible for the preparation of manning based on Fort Leonard Wood (Missouri) said that in 2007, his ward regularly had nervous breakdowns: he shouted at his commanders, threw chairs towards his colleagues. He was repeatedly directed to a consultation with a psychologist.

“I led a manning several times to an appointment with a psychologist after his nervous breakdowns. Such a person should not be sent to Iraq,” the officer explained on anonymity.

Psychologists came to the conclusion that the nervous breakdowns occurred in manning due to the fact that he could not adapt to army life.

23-year-old Bradley Manning was arrested in May 2010 after Wikileaks published a secret video of the attack of the American military helicopter Apache in Iraq in 2007, during which two journalists were killed.
