Khodorkovsky’s petition for Udo did not reach the Preobrazhensky court

The petitions of the former head of Yukos Mikhail Khodorkovsky and former head of the MFI MENATEP Platon Lebedev did not yet entered the Preobrazhensky District Court of Moscow.

This was reported to " Interfax " on May 31 in the morning of the press secretary of the court Lolita Darchiev. The sending of petitions to the court was reported on the evening of May 30. The convicts indicated that from the appointed 13 years they left for more than half the term, which gives them the right to UDO. They believe that they are not required to plead guilty in accordance with the explanations of the Constitutional Court.

The article on the UPO in the Criminal Executive Code states that the petition should contain information, that the convict “partially or completely compensated for the damage caused or in other ways made up the harm caused as a result of the crime, repented of a perfect act, and may also contain other information indicating the correction of the convict.” Kommersant recalls that Khodorkovsky and Lebedev did not repent anything. In 2008, Khodorkovsky was refused UPO, since he had one unknown disciplinary sanction, there were no rewards, there was no evidence of improving behavior and he did not express a voluntary desire to study the profession of a seam-by-fashionist, according to which he could work in the colony of Krasnokamensk.

The lawyer of the convicted person Konstantin Rivkin suggested that “far -fetched obstacles” may appear to free Khodorkovsky and Lebedev.

Commenting on the application, the head of the Moscow Helsinki group Lyudmila Alekseeva told RIA Novosti that he considers the liberation of Khodorkovsky and Lebedev unlikely. According to her, it would be wise to use the Hero method to solve this sensational case. “One could solve this problem, since the decision of the European Court on this subject will soon be published, and recently the“ international amnesty ”recognized him as a prisoner of conscience ... This is a good way to solve the situation, although I doubt that the authorities will use it,” she said.
