Megafon launched a video surveillance system for fires based on infrastructure for the third generation of 3G in the Leningrad Region.

Equipment for video surveillance was installed on the towers of the cellular operator, information from the cameras enters the special path of the dispatcher. When using two spaced (up to 40 km) installations, you can determine the place of fire with great accuracy, the company's materials say.

Earlier, at the Exhibition “Svyaz-Expocomm”, MegaFon presented the Meteonophone automatic weather station, which is also installed on a cellular tower. Now such decisions are used at the Olympic objects in Sochi.
