Representatives of the opposition picked up Putin’s proposal to form the All -Russian Popular Front and began to create their own. This is written by the newspaper " Arguments and Facts ".
Following Vladimir Putin, who came up with the initiative of the creation of the All -Russian Popular Front in early May, representatives of the opposition made similar statements.
In particular, the creation of “its front” was announced by the chairman of the “SR” Nikolai Levichv. In addition, the first deputy chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party Ivan Melnikov said that the real Popular Front will be created around the Communist Party. Then Zyuganov recalled the existence of the Popatriotic Front, and recently regional communists began to create, in contrast to the ONF “People’s Militia”.
Putin called the initiators of the creation of the second and third “fronts” “repeat”. “They are all repeated, and of course, there, of course, should not be expected there, of course,” he explained, ”he explained.
Representatives of the so -called non -systemic opposition also became interested in the idea of the Popular Front. In particular, on May 13, several nationalist organizations signed an agreement on the creation of the “National-Patriotic Front” entitled “Sovereign Union of Russia”.
The new association included 13 organizations, including such as the “Russian National Union” by Sergei Baburin, the “military-power union” by Leonid Ivashev, the “Union of Cossacks of Russia”, headed by the Supreme Ataman Pavel Zadorozhny, as well as the “Slavic Union of Journalists” under the leadership of the former Minister of Press Boris Mironov.
Eduard Limonov also stated the imminent appearance of his “front of national salvation”. In addition to “other Russia”, the Udaltsovsky “Rot-Front” and the Association “Homeland: common sense” were invited there. The publication will recall that these organizations have not been registered with the Ministry of Justice.
Finally, with the proposal to create the opposition Putin, the coalition was made by the co -chair of the created party of folk freedom Boris Nemtsov.
At the same time, representatives of the opposition call the Putin front a fiction. They note that the Popular Front, as a rule, is created in the year of dashing troubles and bloody wars in order to save the country.
Experts interviewed by the publication, commenting on the activity of the opposition to create fronts and its criticism of the Putin ONF, explain this by the fact that the association initiated by the Prime Minister can greatly affect the script of the parliamentary election campaign and the ratings of other political parties. The latter "understand that they will not be able to go through an election campaign by inertia without faced new problems." So believes the Deputy General Director of the Research Institute of Social Systems of Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosova Dmitry Badovsky.
“Their first reaction is the desire to imitate the leader,” the expert notes. -Try to make a statement using the same rhetoric, to declare that they will also try to create some kind of coalitions, some associations around them. But this is a protective reaction, partly speaking that they are preoccupied with this situation. ”
The opposition had previously tried to create structures similar to the ONF. So, in 2004, Harry Kasparov made the initiative to create the “Committee-2008”, the main task of which was to be “the election of the civil president, and not the heir to Putin.”
Kasparov also owns the idea of creating in 2005 the United Civil Front with about the same goals: opposition to the regime of Vladimir Putin. This Kasparovsky “front” continues to exist, but it does not have special influence.
