Russians do not know about Vladimir Putin's movement

Most Russians have not heard of the new organization at all, sociologists have found. Only every fifth resident of the country may be interested in information about the front. People have lost interest in United Russia and Vladimir Putin, political scientists emphasize.

The movement of Vladimir Putin is simply unknown to most Russians. This is evidenced by the results of a survey by the Public Opinion Foundation. The study was conducted in 43 regions of the country. Ekaterina Sedykh, director of the Dominanata project of the Public Opinion Foundation, told Kommersant FM about this.

“Two-thirds of Russians are still not aware of this organization. The rest, those who were able to speak out whether they approve or not of the creation of such an organization, were divided exactly in half,” she said.

–– In the last week of the study, we also asked how interested they were in information, and the majority remained indifferent to news on this topic. Only about 20% responded that they were probably interested in this information.”

The elections will show different numbers. This is what journalist and political scientist Valeria Novodvorskaya thinks.

“We have 20% of such active ideological “scoops” and almost 20% of hidden Westerners. And between them there is a “cushion” – inaccessible to any influences. These are those who need food and stall, and will take them from any hand, –– she noted: “Unfortunately, this “mattress” acts on orders, when it is necessary to enroll in this front or vote for this front, they will all go in friendly ranks with music and do what they are told.”

The information campaign is just beginning. This explains the poor performance of the Popular Front. This is what United Russia deputy Sergei Markov thinks.

“It seems to me that this is absolutely natural. A person does not notice advertising at all until he sees and hears it 100 times,” he explained. “Russians for the most part have not heard about the “All-People’s Front” another 100 times. Therefore, let the front continue to work “It will work, and everyone will, without a doubt, know about it.”

“And during the election campaign, they will not only find out, but will cross themselves and say, we don’t want to know about all these parties. But they will still come and vote for this front, because Putin is there,” concluded Sergei Markov.

The head of regional programs of the Information Policy Development Fund, Alexander Kynev, believes that the reason for the lack of interest in the Popular Front is the unpopularity of Vladimir Putin and United Russia.

“If there is skepticism, waning, to put it mildly, enthusiasm for the country’s leadership, then it doesn’t matter what the name of the political force is that the country’s leadership is betting on at this particular moment.

“I think that’s all the data says,” he said. –– Therefore, “People's Front”, “People's Party”, for example, any name, no matter how beautiful it is, in my opinion, will not change anything radically. Because we are talking about the same power, the same people."

Meanwhile, the Popular Front itself reports colossal achievements. According to representatives of the movement, about 450 public organizations joined in a short time.
