The central theme of the International Forum "Atomexpo-2011", which will be held from June 6 to 8 in Moscow at the Manege Central Exhibition Hall, will be the safety of modern nuclear power plants. The forum was organized by the State Corporation Rosatom. Within the framework of the forum, a specialized exhibition and congress “Development of nuclear energy: pause or continuation?” will be organized. The event will be attended by heads of leading companies in the nuclear energy sector, representatives of ministries and departments of foreign countries, representatives of government agencies and enterprises of related industries.
Oleg Kulik , representative of Schoeller-Bleckmann Edelstahlrohr GmbH. in the CIS and Baltic countries:
We have participated in the Atomexpo forum for the last two years, and it was interesting. It might be useful to have a separate round table for suppliers. We, as pipe suppliers, would be interested in this.
At the forum we plan to find out what are the prospects and trends in the development of the nuclear industry in Russia and in the world, since in this regard the forum was and is expected to be quite representative. Secondly, this is a very good place for meetings, top management is quite close, it is a good way to meet people who work in this industry.
I would like to believe that there will not be a global abandonment of nuclear energy. In Europe, for example, they understand that hydrocarbons are imports, and they are not always supplied from friendly countries, so they would like to weaken the dependence through peaceful atoms.
