The People’s Teacher of the USSR Leonid Milgram died

The People’s Teacher of the USSR, an honorary citizen of Moscow Leonid Milgram died in the capital on Friday, June 17. This was reported by RIA "Novosti" with reference to the Deputy Mayor for Education and Healthcare Olga Golodets.

“Today, Moscow education has suffered a huge loss - one of the most prominent teachers of Moscow died,” said Golodets. Milgram died at the 91st year of life: he celebrated his 90th anniversary on February 25, 2011.

Since 1960, Leonid Milgram headed one of the most famous Moscow schools - the English special school No. 45. For high merits and a huge contribution to the development of domestic education, he was awarded the title of People's Teacher of the USSR and the Order of Honor.
