
By the end of October, the Moscow government will accept the program for the creation of the International Financial Center (MFC), which President Dmitry Medvedev instructed to place the MKAD. This was stated on Saturday, June 18, the mayor of the capital Sergey Sobyanin, RIA Novosti reports.
The plan for the creation of the MFC will become one of the 15 state programs for 2012-2016, which the Moscow government plans to accept in the coming months. “We are not just developing these programs, we will accept them in October is the latest term until October,” said Sobyanin.
Sobyanin called Medvedev a positive instruction to place the MFC for the Moscow Ring Road. “Then we are talking about creating a new modern city, a business center, which would include government institutions, a financial center, and a new business construction,” said Sobyanin. He added that a number of university towns should be placed in this satellite city.
According to the agency, a participant in the International Advisory Council for the creation and development of the MFC, the site is considered to be the sites in the West, South-West and the south of the Moscow Region.
Initially, Medvedev proposed placing the structures of the MFC in the premises in the center of Moscow, which will be freed after the state institutions moved from there. However, after hearing the arguments of the head of Sberbank German Gref, he changed his mind and instructed to place the MFC in the suburbs.
