Nizhny Novgorod police denies the use of the electric shocker to the Zenit football player

The police did not use the electric shocker to the player of the Petersburg Club Zenit during the match with the Nizhny Novgorod Volga in Nizhny Novgorod, RIA Novosti said on Sunday, the deputy chief of public security of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate for the Nizhny Novgorod Region Andrei Shmonin.

The incident occurred when Danko Lazovich approached the stands of the fans to throw his T -shirt .

"OMON employee stood between players and fans with outstretched hands. There was a stun gun in his hands, but it was not used," said Shmononin.

He noted that the action of the electric shocker leaves special grass, in particular - a burn. “On the naked and sweaty torso of the football player, this would be clearly visible,” the representative of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate continued.

“No statements were made to the protocol of the football match on this subject,” he added.

Olga Kravchuk, head of the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, also stated in an interview with Echo of Moscow that an OMON employee stood between football players and fans, with his hands spread out, in one there was a stun gun. This moment got into the camera lens. However, the stun gun was not used - otherwise the football player would have a specific trauma, namely a burn. And if the stun gun was used against a person with a naked torso and sweaty, that is, a football player, he would immediately receive a severe injury in which medical care is needed. However, nothing of the kind was recorded.

The press service of the Russian Academy of Sciences of Russia in the Nizhny Novgorod Region also reported that a strangle of 4.5 thousand Zenit fans came for this match.

"In one of the buses, when examining, with the help of a specially trained dog, they found a package with a vegetable origin of a green color of 500 grams in one of the fans," the department said.

Now law enforcement officers are conducting an audit on this fact. Also, according to the representative of the press service, before the match, the fans of Zenit seized 37 fires, 12 firecrackers and three smoke bombs.

"The fans repeatedly insulted police officers. They were damaged by 220 plastic chairs. The stadium was damaged by 55 thousand rubles. This is reflected in the protocol of the match," the press service added.
