
Venezuela President Hugo Chavez was recovering after the operation underwent in Cuba and will return to his homeland on July 5, the chairman of the Venezuela Parliament Fernando Soto Rojas told reporters.
“Chavez is recovering, and, thank God, on July 5 he will return to Venezuela,” Rohas confirmed, categorically refuting the rumors that the head of state was sick with cancer. “If it were really so, then I would be the first to inform the country about this,” said the chairman of the parliament.
Earlier, the El Nuevo Herald newspaper wrote that the head of Venezuela is in critical condition after he had to transfer an urgent operation due to an abscess in the pelvis.
