Medvedev signed a law on the recruitment of school graduates

President Dmitry Medvedev signed amendments to the Law "On Military Duties and Military Service", providing deferrals from the spring call to adult graduates of schools. As RIA Novosti reports, the Kremlin press service reported this. The law comes into force from the date of its official publication.

The spring call in Russia ends on July 15. Graduation evenings in schools are held in the 20s of June, and enrollment occurs, as a rule, in late July - early August. Thus, schoolchildren who are already 18 years old may not have time to enter the institute and immediately after the school bench to get into the army. Amendments are adopted to exclude such situations.

In accordance with the amendments, graduates who have reached the age of 18 years, a delay is provided for the period until October 1 year of graduation. Those who cannot pass exams will go to serve in the army and pass the exam repeatedly in a year. Profile departments have dispersed in the assessment of the number of graduates who will affect the new law this year. According to the Ministry of Defense, this is more than 50 thousand people, according to the Ministry of Education and Science - about 28 thousand graduates.

The Federal Law "On Amending Article 24 of the Federal Law" On Military Duties and Military Service "was adopted by the State Duma on June 17, 2011 and approved by the Federation Council on June 22, 2011.
