Samsung has developed a prototype of a device that can play up to 10 thousand options for various smells. Such a gadget can be added to serial TVs and cell phones.

The device is a 100x100 matrix consisting of miniature cells with liquid contents. The ingredients are mixed in the air when the cells containing them heat up, RIA Novosti reports.

Note that studies in the field of devices for creating odors for the consumer market have been underway for more than a year. There are already several solutions, for example, the SCENTSCAPE prefix from Scent Sciences, which allows you to add an aromatic component to the possibilities of a home theater. However, this device worth $ 70 in the form of a cartridge box, which is connected to a computer via a USB port and is controlled by special software, has quite scarce opportunities - only 20 basic aromas that are mixed in order to synthesize various odors.
