Of all the territories that the Moscow region consider as possible for the resettlement of metropolitan officials on behalf of the president, there are two most likely candidates. The capital may include the Rublevo-Arkhangelskoye or Skolkovo , which, by order of the president, has recently been carefully turned into an innovative "city of the future."
How many government agencies will move to a new place and how many people will work there is not yet known, so the process of choosing a place is difficult, explained by the newspaper Vedomosti a member of the working group performing the order of Dmitry Medvedev.
During the St. Petersburg Forum, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin and Governor of the Moscow Region Boris Gromov signed an agreement on the boundaries of the regions. Then Gromov said that eight sites are being considered, including Rublevo-Arkhangelskoye and Domodedovo.
The interlocutor of Vedomosti noted that the region mainly offers federal lands, but their significant drawback is a small area of 200-300 hectares. The most worked out options can be considered Skolkovo, Rublevo-Arkhangelskoye and Domodedovo, the source believes.
According to the publication, "Rublevo-Arkhangelskoye" lobbies the president of Sberbank German Gref. According to one of the members of the working group to expand the boundaries of Moscow, there is an opportunity to bring this territory to 700 hectares, having bought land from private structures.
The same territory, which is in federal property, is available in Skolkovo. Use about 8 thousand hectares in Domodedovo is offered by billionaire Vasily Anisimov. Member of the Federation Council, co-owner of Rusagro and Augur-Estate Vadim Moshkovich, in turn, proposes to give the territory along the Kaluga highway under the expansion of Moscow. Anisimov and Moshkovich were going to build the satellite cities of Moscow, but their territory in the city hall considered far from the capital.
Recall that last Friday the Kremlin’s press service distributed on the official website of the head of state a list of his instructions following a speech at the International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg on June 17.
The document states that the governments of Moscow and the region, together with the "interested federal authorities", must submit their proposals to expand the territory of the capital until July 10, including for relocation from the center of state consumption and transformation of Moscow into an international financial center.
The president personally appointed the mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin and the governor of the Moscow Region Boris Gromov. On the evening of July 1, the press secretary of the mayor of the capital Gulnara Penkov noted that there are no specific agreements so far, however, the proposals of the Moscow government and the Moscow Region will be presented to the president on time.
