
The International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) did not consider the possibility of holding matches in three half of 30 minutes at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. This is stated in a statement published on the official website of the organization.
"In connection with the information on this topic that appeared in the media, FIFA would like to clarify the situation: there were no discussions in the federation regarding the change in the format of the game format either at the World Cup 2022 or any other competitions. Football matches are held in two halves of 45 minutes. Any change in the rules should have been considered in the International Council of Football Associations, but this issue was not discussed," the statement quotes ITT-TASSI quoted ITT FIFA.
Earlier, the British media reported that the Federation is ready to go to an incredible experiment - to hold meetings in three half for 30 minutes, and this opportunity is considered by the organization in case the temperature on covered Qatari arenas exceeds 30 degrees Celsius.
