Explosion in Kaspiysk: two dead

Two police officers died as a result of the explosion in the Dagestan Kaspiysk, which occurred on Monday night, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the representative of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Dagestan. According to the Republican Ministry of Internal Affairs, the explosion thundered about 02.00 on Bayramov Street. A source in the Investigative Department of the IC in Dagestan said that two more people were injured. At the scene, a damaged police "UAZ" and a damaged gas pipe were found.

The capacity of the explosion was three or four kilograms in the TNT equivalent. The representative of the department said that the explosive device worked on the side of the road when the police "UAZ" drove past.

On September 30, 2010, 17 riot police officers suffered in Kaspiysk. Eight of them received fragmentation wounds, nine more people were shell -shocked. All victims turned to the hospitals of Kaspiysk and Makhachkala for medical help. The explosion occurred on the outskirts of Kaspiysk. The bomb worked next to the patrol car.
