The sending of Boris Gryzlov by the governor to Petersburg is most likely just a newspaper "duck". However, the reaction of his environment and the real presence of Gryzlov in the list on the prameal indicate some inconsistencies of positions and even the absence of a party disitsylina. What is dangerous before the elections.

The personal political fate of the Speaker of the State Duma Boris Gryzlov suddenly was in jeopardy. A list of participants in the “National District” appeared on the website of the St. Petersburg Branch of United Russia (so it is called in the party phraseology) of the primaries, which Boris Gryzlov entered number 2. At the moment, there are already 94 surnames on the list, the list has changed several times, but Gryzlov got there every time.

The source of Kommersant, “close to the presidential administration”, on this basis suggested that Gryzlov could even become a St. Petersburg governor in return for Valentina Matvienko who was leaving the post. Moreover, of course, the condition that the St. Petersburg United Russia led by Gryzlov will gain a good percentage of votes. The latter will not be easy, because St. Petersburg is a city in a political sense restless and even protest. It is enough to recall that in the party in the Party of power for a long time there was no simple majority in the city legislative assembly.

Observers reacted to the idea of ​​the “Governor-Governor” skeptically. Indeed, to link the elections to the State Duma with the indispensable appointment of the governor, at least, is strange. Valentina Matvienko will probably become a senator earlier than the State Duma elections and it is quite possible to expect that the governor's post will be busy before the election. In addition, it is not clear how the Petersburgers perceive such a new governor - not a business executive, but a party functions, moreover, from a particular, not very popular party.

In this sense, the deputy head of the presidential administration Alexander Beglov, who is also visited by the mayors of the Northern capital, looks much more preferable.

However, the rumor was thrown into the information space and the people of Gryzlov had to react to him. First, the deputy secretary of the Presidium of the General Council of EP, the “Gryzlov Man” Yuri Shuvalov emotionally stated on the air of the RSN that the publication is “the news invented, due to the lack of news in the summer period”. Then he made a reservation that the elected region was not yet defined for Boris Gryzlov, and the politician himself “as one of the party leaders who organize the federal campaign” will not be held. Since it is not obliged - such is party democracy.

According to Shuvalov, Gryzlov was offered to head the electoral list of several regions, including Petersburg, the Leningrad region, Primorsky Territory and others.

In general, one can agree with the party manager - why is Gryzlov primaries? And even more so, it is not clear why the federal center may need to make him a governor. Rather, one of the political managers does not like Boris Gryzlov as a speaker. When Vyacheslav Volodin, the secretary of the Presidium of the General Council of EP, the party was observed in the party a certain two -headed structure, and the relations between the partyboats were quite cold.

In general, Gryzlov has quite a few “sympathizers” both in the party itself and outside it.

In this sense, the message of the “source close to the AP” can be deciphered so - “if Gryzlov and one -party members show a bad result in St. Petersburg, then he no longer be a speaker.” And this is a rather serious challenge, because foggy rumors that Gryzlov can lose his post (while preserving the rest of purely nominal posts) periodically appear in recent months.

However, the hardware positions of Gryzlov are quite strong. He is a politician personally loyal to Vladimir Putin and, as far as one can judge, a person is quite entrusted. This is an extremely serious resource for hardware struggle. And if Gryzlov does not want to go to the post of St. Petersburg governor, it will be extremely difficult to send him there.

If the story with Gryzlov in the list of primaries is not someone’s hardware game (what looks like), we are more likely about the arbitrariness of local United Russia. Having received some preliminary consent, they joyfully included Gryzlov in their list without thinking about the consequences. Which is extremely alarming for United Russia, from the point of view of unity and observance of party discipline and subordination. Which in the election campaign is necessary, otherwise there is a real chance to be in a situation of some confusion and begin to lose voice.
