
Ukrainian artist and blogger Alexander Volodarsky was released by parole. Volodarsky himself reported this on his tweeter. The artist left for 5 months under the article "Hooliganism committed by a group of persons" in the Irpensky correctional center No. 132 in the urban type of Kotsyubinskoye ( 
Having left under the arrest for a month and a half, Volodarsky was convicted of a year conditionally. The verdict was protested by both the prosecution and the defense. At the end of December 2010, both petitions were rejected. In March 2011, employees of the penitentiary service told Volodarsky that he was obliged to leave the penalty in the correctional institution, since the verdict implies "restriction of freedom."
According to the artist and his supporters, the actions of the moral commission prohibiting obscene films and books can be qualified as censorship. "The corporalists wanted to show the absurdity and meaninglessness of the" moral "legislation that contradicts the Ukrainian constitution and international legal norms," the site said in support of the artist.
Prior to his arrest, Volodarsky lived in Germany for several years, where his family emigrated from Ukraine. He specially arrived in Kyiv to hold a protest campaign, and since then he could not leave Ukraine.
