"Fair Russia" breaks up: after Babakov, other prominent members can leave the party

The scandalous transition of the Vice-Speaker of the State Duma Alexander Babakov from “Fair Russia” to the All-Russian Popular Front can be launched by the mass of the party and ultimately lead to its collapse.

In the near future, other influential fair -Russians - the judo coach of Prime Minister Vladimir Putin Vasily Shestakov, Kira Lukyanova and Mikhail Starshinov, will follow the example of Babakov’s example, the Vedomosti newspaper found out. As representatives of Fair Russia told the publication, these three members of the Socialist Revolutionary faction in the State Duma are ready to announce their withdrawal from the party. Starshinov, like Babakov, is going to join the Putin Front.

According to preliminary data, such prominent party members as Oleg Shein, Elena Drapeko and Svetlana Goryacheva also plan to withdraw from Fair Russia. According to the Communist Party, all of them were negotiating about their transition to the Communist Party. Nevertheless, Oleg Shein in an interview with Vedomosti denied this information, the newspaper could not contact Goryacheva and Drapeco.

In turn, the representative of the United Russia leadership claims that Valery Kartung, just Russiasses, received an invitation to go to the “right business”. Whether he will make a decision on the transition is still unknown.

According to experts, weakening the positions of “fair Russia” and the transition of its members to other parties will be happy in all fractions of the State Duma, as this will not only strengthen the influence of “United Russia”, but also expand the presence of representatives of the Communist Party and the LDPR in the parliament. Currently, there are 38 people in the State Duma faction in the State Duma.

Recall that the withdrawal of Alexander Babakov from Fair Russia became known last week. It was reported that he allegedly wrote an open letter in which he announced his withdrawal from the party. The Vice-Speaker himself did not give any explanation on this subject, however, there was no refutation of the information released in the media.

In “Fair Russia”, the information about Babakov’s withdrawal from the party was not at first confirmed, but then the member of the Presidium of the Bureau of the Central Council of Fair Russia, the deputy head of the fair -Russian faction in the State Duma, Gennady Gudkov admitted that Babakov really decided to leave the party. This was confirmed by the chairman of the Fair Russia party Nikolai Levichv, calling Babakov’s act “dishonorable”.

The media continue to find out how Babakov was in the Perm ONF

Last Tuesday, journalists found the name of Babakov in the list of candidates to participate in joint primaries of United Russia and the ONF in the Perm Territory. The Izvestia newspaper tried to find out how the vice speaker got there.

As the former metropolitan prefect Oleg Mitnol, who himself participates in the primaries in the Perm Territory, told the publication, he personally attended a meeting of the ONF regional coordination council in the Perm Territory on July 25, at which the chairman of the Council Dmitry Skivanov “pulled out a magician from the sleeve“ Babakov’s statement about the desire to join the ONF. According to Skivanov, the document was sent to Moscow on July 19.

Another well -informed source told Izvestia that, according to his data, Babakov was used in the struggle of each other for the long time by the warring governor of the Perm Territory Oleg Chirkunov and the Minister of Natural Resources, Yuri Trutnev, who are rival for the right to form the lists of United Russia and ONF from the region in the State Duma elections. The confrontation between the parties worsened after it became known that Trutnev could lead the list of United Russia from the Perm Territory.

According to the source of the newspaper, to lure Babakov and add it to the lists of Chirkunov by the famous entrepreneur Marat Gelman. As a result, the governor himself called the vice speaker, who said that he personally was responsible for the lists of ONF and United Russia in the Perm Territory. Chirkunov allegedly promised that in the event of Babakov’s entry into ONF, he would definitely receive a passage place in the Perm Territory. Then Babakov assured Gelman in the same way, after which the fair -Russian surrendered, says the interlocutor of Izvestia.

According to the source, when an open letter appeared on the Internet, allegedly signed by Babakov, he was frightened - the influence of Gelman was too clearly indicated there. Babakov decided to “reversing”: he “lay on the bottom”, having gone abroad. However, the vice speaker perfectly understood that after such a letter he could no longer return to “Fair Russia”, so he finally made a choice in favor of the ONF.

It is assumed that on Friday Alexander Babakov at a press conference will confirm his transition from Fair Russia to the Putin Front.
