Ex -Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko states that the country's president Viktor Yanukovych ordered her to arrest her until August 24 - Independence Day. According to her, Yanukovych gave such an instruction through the employees of his administration Judge Rodion Kireev, who was presiding in the process in the "gas case".

“To make a dishonest sentence ordered by Yanukovych and so that until the 20th anniversary of Independence he could completely deal with the opposition,” Tymoshenko explained on Monday to reporters before entering the building of the Pechersky District Court of Kiev, Interfax reports.

She also stated that in this process she was waiting for a response from Judge Kireev to her petition submitted last Friday, on joining this criminal case of the materials of the Ukrainian Pravda network edition, which "confirm the intervention of the presidential administration in the trial."

According to the ex-Prime Minister, the materials of the journalistic investigation conducted by this Internet publication prove that the testimony of witnesses "do not come from themselves, but come from the presidential administration." The administration of Yanukovych, for its part, strongly rejected the accusations of interfering in the trial and in influence on its participants who appeared in the media.
