In Moscow, at the 72nd year of life, the People's Artist of Russia Zhanna Prokhorenko died. According to RBC in the Union of Cinematographers, the actress died after a serious and long illness. Farewell to Prokhorenko will be held on August 4, they will bury the actress in the Khovansky cemetery.

Zhanna Prokhorenko became famous after her first role in the cinema. As a student of VGIK, she starred in the role of Shura in the movie Grigory Chukhrai "Ballad of a Soldier." Then Prokhorenko played the main role in the film "And if it is love" and the role of the hockey in "Balzaminov’s marriage."

In total, Prokhorenko has several dozens of moviegoers, including the films “Kalina Red”, “Golden Mina”, “TASS is authorized to declare”, “I am going to a thunderstorm” and others.

In the 1990s, the actress practically did not star in the cinema. In the early 2000s she starred in several series.

For many years, Zhanna Prokhorenko gave work at the film actor theater. The daughter and granddaughter of the film actress Ekaterina Vasilyeva and Maryana Spivak also became famous actresses.
