The Turkish Court arrested the seven military leaders-conspirators

The Turkish court issued decisions on Monday, obliging to arrest the seven generals and admirals of the army of the country, who are accused of anti -government activities. Among the arrested are the commander of the educational building of the Turkish Army, General Nusret Taszheder and military intelligence commander General Ismail Beijing, Interfax reports.

The history of this military conspiracy dates back to 2003, when, according to Ankara’s official position, a group of representatives of the Supreme Military leadership of Turkey incurred plans for destabilizing the situation in the country and the region after the Islamic Party of Justice and Development came to power in the country.

Recall, on July 29, the head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Turkey, General Yeshik Koshaner, as well as the commander in the country of the ground forces, Erdal Chalanoglu, and the head of the Air Force and the Hassan Aksai Navy resigned due to disagreements with the government. The ruling party of justice and development, headed by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, some Turkish nationalists suspect of ties with Islamists and attempts to make Islam a state religion.

Now the opposition believes that the military accusations of a conspiracy are attempts to drown out the voice of the opponents of the government in political circles and in the army. The government rejects these accusations, answering that it is engaged in the modernization of Turkey and seeks to achieve its inclusion in the European Union.
