Without illusions

July 2011 is not that it is a historical border, a dividing line, or, forgive the Lord, there is no “border” in the historiosophical sense, there are simply events of this month hint at the possibility of awareness of the deepest change that happened-again, at least with the world and even with its part, but with the way we think and understand what is happening. And what “occurs” always depends on how we “think”. Here lies the key to the description of the so -called “reality”. But we will not delve into the theory of consciousness.

The “era” is customary to divide into “centuries”, “centuries” into “decades”. “Jealing twenties”, “swinging sixties” and so on. There is a certain meaning in this, even if we perfectly understand how conditional our “decades” are and that, go to humanity from decimal measurement to another, in history textbooks we would write about the “red second dozen” or “champagne eighteenth six”. All the same principle works here: having come up with decimal calculation, humanity measures dozens, exposing not only a description of life under this mathematical scheme, but also acting as if he understands how a gigantic difference lies between, for example, 1870 and 1871. The circle is closed.

However, we still allow ourselves some of the reliefs within the decimal system, for example, about “a present, not calendar twentieth century”, which began in 1914 and ended, most likely, in 1991 or “long nine-1914” (1789-1914). But sometimes events really fit into the proposed formal scheme, as happened with the “zero” of the 21st century, which started almost a Tutelka in a Tutelka with a decade, a century, and a millennium - September 11, 2001. I think there are almost no objections on this occasion, if, of course, to make a reservation that we are not talking about the “whole world” and not about the minds of all earthlings, but about what we know partly share that the media is articulated, politicians, and modern culture. That is, we are talking about the “West”, its society - and that it exists, functions in connection with him, o (even more doubtfully defined) “East”. The so -called “Russia” (no matter what we put into this concept, the state, society, Russian -speaking people living around the world) is directly related to the first and indirect - to the second. So in the above and below and about it too.

If the "zero" began with 9/11, then when did they end? Or an even more burning question - when and how did the "tenths" began? And, finally, even more important - how are the “tenths” different from the “zero”? In the fall of 2008 it seemed: here it began (or “here it is, ended”). The financial crisis, which resulted in a recession, bankruptcy of the largest banks and companies, the bankruptcy of the very idea of ​​serene speculation as the basis of economic prosperity - all this said about one thing: “You can’t live like that”. The governments rejected the neoliberal rules and began to save the economy with the help of old-like Keynesian methods-filling with cash flows sluggish financial fires, nationalizing (with a promise, however, then return everything in the best form), eturing. That convulsive conducting was perceived as the dawn of the new left era-but neither left, nor the right, nor any have been ready for this. That all ended.

The wounds licked, they forgot curses to capitalism, and today they switched to heavy state debt sins and swearing to some European countries (usually with the most cheerful population), which, they say, spend more than necessary. I must say that nothing but the guilty of Greece and Portugues in fact is actually experiencing nothing but envy (most often dialogue). They settled well, these southerners.

As a result, the problem of moral bankruptcy of the very idea of ​​capitalism itself remains the background of today's life (it is naive to think that capitalism is essentially something else than a moral idea; it is not necessary to mix stupid cynicism and indifferent pragmatism, inherent, for example, of a significant part of Russian society and the state, with “capitalism”. There is no capitalism in Russia, since there is neither its own nor a beneficial idea). The 2008 crisis did not become the “end of the zero” (and, even more so, “the beginning of the tenths”), but he undermined the blind faith that everything would continue in the same way as before. For some time, of course, everything with a great creak is sophisticated, and then it will not be at all.

It turns out that if you look for something that completed (final) in our minds “zero”, then in the same place where they began. In terror. And here a quite distinct line is built: from 9/11 to 22/7, from Atta to Breivik, from America to Europe. The main political, social and cultural plot of the “zero” was the so -called “struggle against international terrorism”, which turned out to be two full -scale (and hopeless) post -colonial wars, turning the life of numerous propagandists, politicians, and preachers into paradise. Endless conversations about the “clash of civilizations”, about “Islamofashism”, about “sunset of the West” created the basis for the agenda that Norwegian Anders Breivik clearly formulated - not in his watery manifesto, but in short automatic lines on the island of Utaya. No one paid attention to one funny fact - every year “Islamic terrorist attacks” became smaller and less, and not only because the Western special services worked better and better (and this is true).

Just the focus of the plot West vs. The East moved from “terrorism” to “migration”, from panic cries of jihad to the already very crackling chatter about the threat of “traditional Western (read, European) culture”. What is hidden behind this chatter, showed just Breivik, this defender of the cultural white race - in the ears of the soundtrack to the "lord of the rings", before his eyes - an idiotic computer game. But even more interesting what happened immediately after 22/7; The confusion and quite understandable skin fear of instructive neo -fascists (like English defense league) replaced (so far, mainly on the Internet) with a mockery ghost of hidden household racists, they say, we warned! We came up here, here is the beautiful white youth and was nervous.

The main motive of this kind of reasoning is simple - in the Breivik manifesto there is a lot of reasonable, but he did not make practical conclusions ... However, who is not mistaken ... Our compatriots, both relevant and the former, take part in such conversations with great pleasure; For a Russian person, the matter is completely familiar to mock the “multi-cult”, especially if this Russian person belongs to the category of “who came up” (although he does not consider himself such, following his heart-free race).

Indeed, here it is, the border. Blonde, like the hero of Visconti, Breivik exterminates more Norwegians in a few hours, which at once several British Pakistanis killed London passengers in memorable events 7/7/2005. In chronologically, the first case was guilty (absolutely fair) was religious extremism - that is, what the “preachers of hatred” had fucked up future terrorists. In the second - the victims themselves, their ideology of multiculturalism and relevant political practice. This means one thing - a significant part of Europeans to today discarded “decency”, previously so important for “representatives of the democratic world”. Race hostility was stronger than the most ordinary logic (I'm not talking about justice), and the chatter about the “protection of traditional Western culture” firmly stood in place of the missing (so far) slender racist ideology.

Of course, it is quite ridiculous to listen to discussions about the need to keep the heights once taken once by Giotto, Shakespeare and Shenberg, the reasoning of people who have not discovered nothing but the “Da Vinci code” over the past couple of decades. Or the defenders of the “traditional western structure of life”, dressed in jeans sewn in China, scribbled on computers collected in India, drinking coffee grown in the Ethiopia, are carried out of the window with brooms of Tajiks (or, to choose from Pakistani, Turks, Arabs, Ganstsy). While the hypocrisy is unconscious, it can be ridiculous, but the further, the more it gives rise to disgust and contempt.

So we got to the codes. The summer of 2011 hints at us at a simple thing: we have entered the world (decade, century, anon, anything) the most severe moral crisis. Peppy entrepreneurial morality is buried with Liman Brothers. The idea of ​​the general equality of people, regardless of the color of the skin, religion and views, is buried along with Norwegian victims. The illusion of the ethical superiority of democracy, which allowed the West to win the Cold War and survive the collapse of the colonial system, was dispelled at the end of post -war historical plots. The miserable confused governments, plugging budget holes, and their electorate, immersed in daily mental brew out of fear of death, hatred of “other” and searches for the daily bread. It seems to be the wonderful new world of the Tenths. An unsightly picture is revealed to us. It remains to understand what to do with her.
