In his life, he has only two goals - money and career, and he goes to them literally along the corpses, at the same time fully using his Donjuan talents.

In the image of Sukhanov, figures of three traitors merged at once (rather those whom the FSB and Putin are considered as such). The first is the Soviet diplomat Alexander Ogorodnik, who at one time was the deputy department of the Foreign Ministry of the Foreign Ministry of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and part -time as the Trianon CIA agent. According to the KGB, he was recruited during a long -term business trip to Colombia, therefore Sukhanov begins his career in Colombia. The second prototype Sukhanov is the former Major General of the KGB Oleg Kalugin, now living in the United States, and in the late 80s-early 90s, who advocated the reform of the special services and parliamentary control over them and participated in the democratic movement. Kalugin, who worked in the Leningrad UKGB in the 80s, at the end of perestroika and after the fall of the USSR often gave interviews to Western correspondents and released frank memoirs in America about his work in the KGB, albeit without specific names.

In the final series of the film, Sukhanov looks like an evil parody of Kalugin. He inspiredly sells both his own memoirs and numerous secrets, sets out the idea of ​​a small, “compact” KGB, which should turn into a monster of Soviet times. And the large house on Litein in August of the 91st is shown as a passage yard, where foreign journalists and just people from the street are free. Sukhanov also literally quotes Kalugin, saying that he is not obliged to keep the secrets of a non -existent state. Let me remind you that even during his first election presidential campaign, Putin directly accused Kalugin of betrayal, although without any specific facts. In 2002, clearly on the initiative of Vladimir Vladimirovich, the court in Moscow in absentia sentenced Oleg Danilovich to 15 years in prison for treason and deprived him of all titles and awards. So to look at the caricature of Kalugin Putin will probably be pleased.

The head of the Leningrad UKGB General Saltykov (Valery Barinov), one of the authors of the Bastion, causes sincere sympathy for the audience as a man of duty and honor. He shoots in 1987, when he finds out that there is a conclusion of Soviet missiles from Europe, the end of enmity with the United States and, as he understands, the status of superpower by the Soviet Union. Putin, if anyone does not remember, in the 80s also worked in the Leningrad UKGB. Who knows whether the sequel of the Last Meeting-2 will still be removed, where the hero of Polovtsev will make a difficult ascent to the presidential chair? In general, the film was shot with the expectation that after watching it, hundreds of young people will be happy to serve in the FSB and the SVR or will be inspired by their friends and neighbors.
