
Several gunboats belonging to the Syrian naval forces attacked the port city of Latakia, as a result of which at least 19 people died. This is reported by Associated Press with reference to local human rights activists. The exact number of wounded has not yet been set.
With the beginning of the artillery shelling of several quarters of Latakia, the city entered the city. The main goal of the military operation was the Ramlech district, where anti -government sentiments are especially strong. Many residents of the district were forced to flee the city.
