Maybe it was not worth starting an article dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the publication with such recognition? No, it was worth it - after all, this recognition is completely sincere!

The magazine "Cosmonautics News" (abbreviated - NK) I have been reading for almost two decades. The first numbers that fell into my hands in the early 1990s were brochures on thin paper in A5 format, with photographic printing and were called “ballots” ... But the content! “Knowledge”, the content of a small brochure was akin to divine revelation! .. Clearly, concisely, substantially, competently, without political crackling and worthless popularization on the pages of the ballot, it was told about the latest space launches, spaceships and companions, about astronauts and astronauts, about what occurred in orbits and on Earth, in Russia and abroad. It was so new and so exciting that I wanted to read and re -read.

Since then, I have not missed a single number of NK, although I have not been living in Russia for a long time. During this time, the NK turned from a 20-page black and white brochure into a colorful publication of magnificent design, each number of which you are looking forward to.

... It all began in that same August, which is now associated with only one event in the history of Russia - with the August coup and the State Emergency Committee. The country was feverish, and three young people who were enthusiastic about the astronautics of people-Igor Marinin, Sergey Shamsutdinov and Olga Zhdanovich-according to the schedule, on August 26, 1991, released the 2nd number of Bulletin “Cosmonautics News”. And the very first number - 6 pages printed on a needle printer with a circulation of 10 copies - was released on August 12.

The 90s were seething in the yard with all their shocks, inflation, “financial pyramids”, default ..., and the NK employees, despite anything, made their magazine, published twice a month. Several times, due to the exhaustion of funds, the release of the publication was at risk, and only the incredible energy of Igor Marinin prevented this. Fortunately, there was a generous and responsible sponsor Boris Ransky, the head of the company "R&K" (he now does not leave the NK).

Every year, the NC won more and more readers; He began to read in the industry, and in scientific institutions, and abroad. In 1994, instead of a modest “ballot”, a proud “magazine” appeared on the cover. In February 1998, the Tax Code became the way we know it now - A4 Format Format Format Format. Today, on the cover of the NK it means that it is published under the auspices of Roscosmos and the space forces of the Russian Federation.

The team of experienced “space” journalists, led by the permanent chief editor, Igor Adolfovich Marinin, does not miss a single little noticeable event in the world of astronautics.

"Cosmonautics News" track flights of spacecraft, artificial Earth satellites and interplanetary devices, analyze space programs in different countries. Each room has a detailed chronicle of the crew of the International Space Station, a report on all space launches of the current month.
