A deputy of the State Duma from the United Russia party, Alexei Lebed, announced the exit from the party of his own free will. According to RBC, he reported this at a meeting with reporters in the capital of Khakassia Abakan. “I would like to emphasize that I do not move from the party to another party. I just go out, realizing that everyone should live according to conscience, have an active life position, have the right to express their own opinion outside the party attitudes and without any conventions that are currently taking place,” the swan explained.
The politician added that he intends to continue working in the State Duma until the expiration of his mandate.
The ex-head of Khakassia received a place in the lower house of the Russian parliament according to the lists of United Russia. In 2009, a mandate passed to him, which was released after the appointment of Viktor Zimin by the head of Khakassia. In the State Duma, Lebed works in the regulation committee.
After conducting the primaries in August, the third female cosmonaut and Hero of Russia Elena Kondakova accused the party of falsifications. According to her, the results of the preliminary vote were predetermined. The "primaries of" United Russia "is an economically inappropriate game of democracy. I realize that my statement means the end of my political career," Kondakova said. She added that many of her colleagues are outraged by what was happening, but prefer to remain silent.
