Hermitage Capital asks the SK to investigate a billion -end theft from the budget

Brown Rudnick, which operates in the interests of the Hermitage Capital investment fund, appealed to the Investigative Committee with a request to institute criminal proceedings in connection with the theft of more than one billion rubles of budget funds. According to RAPSI, the applicant claims that in 2007-2008 there was a theft in the amount of about 1.22 billion rubles by illegal refund of the Technical Special Proceed of added tax.

The Fund believes that the IFTS No. 28 in Moscow may be involved in the theft, in particular, the former head of the inspection Olga Stepanova, and the owner of the Universal Bank of Savings KB Dmitry Klyuyev. As stated in the materials of the Fund, the company controlled by the banker participated in the schemes for the theft of funds from the budget, and the funds proceeded by the illegal operations were transferred to the Universal Bank of Savings.

According to the representative of Hermitage Capital, the company received a compensation for tax on the basis of forgery tax return and fictitious documentation.

The Federal Tax Service did not in detail comment on the details of the appeal of lawyers of the Fund.

"As for the episode, which the lawyers of Hermitage Capital are talking about, we learned about it from the media and can not comment on the validity of the fund's claims. However, I want to emphasize that only the court can establish the fact of theft," said the official representative of the Federal Tax Service of Larisa Katysheva.

The investment fund was in the focus of attention in connection with the theft of the state budget of 5.4 billion rubles.
