On the eve of Moscow, a joint meeting of the Patriarchal Council "Economics and Ethics", the Center for Social and Conservative Policy and the Club of Orthodox Entrepreneurs took place. In anticipation of the new political season, it was devoted to reflections on the further development of Russia, the search for a nationwide idea and reasoning that the country is able to propose to the world in terms of recovery of politics and economics.
According to the head of the synodal department on the relationship between the Church and the Society of Archpriest Vsevolod Chaplin, one of the foundations of a nationwide idea can be the idea of solidarity, the information of the interfax-religion portal says.
"We need solidarity today on a variety of floors of public life, and this should be solidarity between the people and the authorities, trade unions and employers, ordinary people and people, clothed with money, economic influence, senior positions," the representative of the church said.
In his opinion, this idea today "must be declared at the level of the highest state policy and the actions of participants in economic processes."
“We have too many, a lot of antagonism between the people and the authorities, business and the rest of the society, rich and poor, the intelligentsia, accustomed to criticizing everything, and people who prefer to participate in the creative affairs of society and the state and the same business,” the priest emphasized.
At the same time, Vsevolod Chaplin noted that the idea of solidarity is an essentially Christian thought. Therefore, "it is no accident that in world political practice it is the forces that associate themselves with Christian democracy, the conservative direction of social thought, raise the idea of solidarity to the shield," said the representative of the church.
According to Vsevolod Chaplin, the time has come to raise the issues of revaluation of the processes that have been taking place in Russia over the past 20 years, "new and serious reflection on which society and the state we are building."
“I hope that the new political season will not be accompanied by attempts to shut up unresolved questions in the field of searching for a nationwide idea and a national mission, in the field of searching for answers to those global crises that are facing humanity and answer Russia,” said the head of the synodal department.
Regarding the interaction of Russia with the rest of the world, he indicated that our country can offer "its recipes for reforming the banking sector, the global economy, the global political system" and domestic recipes for reforms can be based "on those moral ideals that are based on our millennial civilization."
“We must be more active in the proposal of our own recipes for the construction of the world economy and the world political system,” the representative of the Moscow Patriarchate emphasized.
On behalf of Russian politicians, at a meeting in Moscow, the deputy secretary of the Presidium of the General Council of United Russia, Yuri Shuvalov, who said that in order to spiritual mobilization of Russian society, the party represented by him intends to establish a socio-conservative union on September 17.
"For the spiritual mobilization of our society, there are all the prerequisites today, but in many ways the situation will depend on which project will declare a conservative majority," he said.
As Shuvalov noted, the further development of Russia is associated with the awakening of the Orthodox consciousness inherent in representatives and other traditional religions. “It is not just a characteristic of faith, it is unifying and forming our culture, our identity,” he believes.
According to the representative of the "United Russia" leadership, the creation of a socio -conservative union will laid the basis for uniting like -minded people - "carriers of a conservative idea - the idea of a future great country."
