At the end of the day, the MICEX index fell by 4.48% to 1327.19 points. The RTS Index closed down by 5.18% to 1,315.95 points. At the same time, during trading the market fell below the psychologically significant level of 1300 points for both indices - for the first time since July 2010, RIA Novosti notes . Over the week, the MICEX index lost 12.2%, the RTS index – 16.4%.

On the MICEX on Friday, shares of VTB (-7.5%), Gazprom (-0.9%), Gazprom Neft (-5.4%), LUKOIL (-3.6%), Novatek fell in price (-5.6%), Norilsk Nickel (-3.2%), Rosneft (-4.9%), Rostelecom (-5.5%), Sberbank (-5.2%), Surgutneftegaz (-1.1%), Tatneft (-8.8%), FGC UES (-4.6%). Polyus Gold shares again looked better than the market (-0.03%).

US indices fell by more than 3% the day before as a reaction to the US Federal Reserve's decision to change its balance sheet structure in favor of government bonds with a longer circulation period and statements about serious downside risks to the economic forecast.

Stock indexes in Asia fell on Friday, ending the week with their steepest declines since October 2008, as investors fear regulators around the world have exhausted all options to prevent a new global recession.

Europe slowed down its decline on Friday, with indices turning positive by the evening (FTSE and S&P 350 indices rose by 0.1-0.2%), in the US there was a rebound in indices upward, which allowed the Russian market to somewhat correct the collapse (S&P 500 index by 18:45 Moscow time increased by 0.1%, to 1130 points).

Meanwhile, the euro rose slightly against the dollar (+0.5%, to $1.353) thanks to statements by G20 finance ministers who promised to support the weakening world economy through coordinated measures, Interfax notes .

Goldman Sachs Asset Management chief Jim O'Neill said on Friday that the global financial system risks experiencing a crisis similar to the one that occurred in 2008 if the eurozone's debt problems worsen and spread to the US banking sector.

In the oil market, the decline in prices was restrained by the downward correction of the dollar: the cost of November futures contracts for WTI oil by 18:45 Moscow time was $79.96 per barrel (-0.7%), the price of futures for Brent oil was $105.04 per barrel (- 0.4%).
