
Russia does not intend to change the share of dollar assets in its gold and foreign exchange reserves, the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance of Russia Alexei Kudrin said in Washington, Finmarket reports.
“I can say that we did not have any change in the policy and we do not change the share of dollar assets in our SVR, it is about 45%, as well as the Reserve Fund, and the FNB - 45 euros and dollars each, 10%,” said Kudrin, commenting on the reduction of Russia in the US Treasury bonds.
He explained that the study of the US Treasuries Ministry of Finance and the Fed’s investments in US Treasuries does not reflect the full data on investing countries in assets in dollars.
"The Central Bank of the Russian Federation was explained that this was not complete data, that Treasuries did not understand how, where we are investing. This is a survey of certain market participants, which Treasuries has chosen for himself as permanent interviewed and constantly speaks with them," he said.
Thus, the minister said, on the basis of this information, it is impossible to conclude that Russia's intention to reduce the share of dollar assets in the SVR.
In July 2011, Russia reduced investments in US Treasury bonds to $ 100.2 billion from 109.8 billion dorllars in June.
