Yandex has launched a new service - salary statistics by region of Russia

The Russian Internet company Yandex has launched a new service - now any visitor to Yandex.Works can view salary statistics.

Users will be able to see what average salary is offered for a particular profession, compare it with the salaries of other specialists or colleagues in other cities, Interfax reports with reference to the company’s press release.

Salary statistics are based on more than 2 million vacancies collected on Yandex.Work since the fall of 2010. In the summer of 2011, according to this service, Yandex has already released a study on the labor market, which also contains information on salaries.

Using the new section, the user can find out, for example, that the average salary in Moscow is 38 thousand rubles, in Yekaterinburg - 25 thousand rubles, and in Novosibirsk - 24 thousand.

Or that metropolitan teachers and journalists earn 26 and 31 thousand rubles, respectively, which is noticeably less than watchmen and nannies, who receive 37 and 39 thousand rubles, and working as a director is much more profitable than a manager (93 and 66 thousand rubles).

According to Yandex press secretary Ochir Mandzhikov, salary statistics will be updated as new job offers are published, that is, daily.
