Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin allocated about 8 billion rubles. for the development of the capital's metro in 2011. The money will be used, in particular, for the construction of tunnels to the planned Ramenki, Volkhonka and Kotelniki stations. In addition, part of the funds will be used to install a special vibration-proof path in the tunnels passing next to the new underground concert hall of the Bolshoi Theater.

As the capital's mayor's office announced on Tuesday, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, by his order, increased the authorized capital of the Moscow Metro State Unitary Enterprise by 7.68 billion rubles. The money will be used, in particular, for the construction of the "Victory Park" - "Ramenki", "Tretyakovskaya" - "Volkhonka" - "Business Center" sections of the future Kalininsko-Solntsevskaya line and "Zhulebino" - "Kotelniki" of the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line. In addition, the allocated funds will be used to install special vibration-protective paths in existing metro tunnels in the area where the underground structures of the Bolshoi Theater are located. This is done in order to preserve the acoustics of the recently built underground concert hall, which is located 30 meters from the Teatralnaya metro station.

Let us recall that at the end of August Sergei Sobyanin approved the transport development program for 2012–2016. A record 2.2 trillion rubles have been allocated for these purposes. The bulk of the funds will be spent on the development of the road network and the metro. In particular, 465 billion rubles. They will start construction of 87.9 km of new metro lines, as a result of which the subway will appear in the areas of Zyablikovo, Orekhovo-Borisovo, Troparevo, Solntsevo. They will begin to build a third interchange circuit (it will connect metro lines at a distance of one to three stations from the ring line) and a large ring (it will connect stations such as Kakhovskaya and Kuntsevskaya). In addition, over four years it is planned to replace 2,373 train cars and 119 escalators.
