Last weekend, another case was introduced. On pure ponds on Saturday, the “march for equality” was announced. The right youth realized: it seems like a gay parade. It turned out like, really, almost a gay parade. Nationalists responded with a spontaneous protest.
Ironically on the same day, with a difference of half an hour, their action (“In memory of the victims of ethnic terror”), the leaders of the forbidden DPNI and the “ Slavic Union ” Alexander Belov and Dmitry Demushkin held here. The first of October they chose three years ago, after the rape and murder of schoolgirl Anna Saborova - then a visiting Tajik was convicted for this crime. The current event came out a few. Their police expelled from the square. “If you are not participants in the rally, we ask you to leave the square,” an employee announced a megaphone. They laughed in the crowd - no, not participants.
The “march for equality” began unnoticed: an unremarkable group of young people came out of the metro - thirty people - and approached metal detectors. "Are they what?" - observers asked each other. The first posters that appeared behind the fencing raised even more questions. “There is something about abortions,” an elderly woman with an icon in her hands perplexed (she remained after a memorial action). “Medicine should be legal,” expanded inscriptions. “Free motherhood are welcome children, happy families”, “Kremlin is hiding behind children”, “Down with maniacs in power”, “Putin is a serial president”. In a word, the meeting did not differ from human rights activists, who from time to time with small pickets resemble a regime of their existence. However, when the first performances began, it became clear that the instinct of nationalists did not fail.
“This is the first open rally of lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transgender people,” announced a young woman who introduced herself as a participant in the Rainbow Association movement. “We won! Most LGBT is part of the working class, ”she continued. “Capitalism sets a folk protest on LGBT.” "Capitalism fight, homophobia down!" - chanted in response. Opponents of the minorities remaining behind the fences did not share the class approach, and also did not want to give them victory. Tomatoes flew in the protesters. Then a series of riot police came. Employees in helmets acted quickly. Several dozen people - mainly senior school age - ended up in auto -zaks. Many were strongly tuned (“to wet fagots”), so OMON, just in case, detained in advance (while one student had several fighters). The official number of detainees on “pure ponds” are 40 people, the rest with riot police chose not to contact (a couple of hundred would have been gaining in all nationalists).
“Do we not plant for statements on the Internet, do not disperse peaceful actions? So there is a real dictatorship in the country, ”thought at that time at a rally. In confirmation of these words, several participants also went to a car gut. The detention began when the bold activists began to get rainbow flags and slogans dedicated to the main goal of the meeting. The first to bring one of the organizers who tried to deploy a seven-color flag with some kind of appeal (no one had time to read the inscriptions). Behind him was followed by a young man with a poster "Enough of gay nightmare." “For the discovery of slogans to the stated objectives of the action,” the policeman explained.
The rally participants stood closer to each other and chanted “while we are one, we are invincible”, addressing this slogan to people in shape. However, it was clear that they feel awkward. Of course, the police infringed on the rights of activists. But hardly anyone was ready to throw a stone at her. Still, on this day, the “gay parade” and the police were rather on one side.
When it all ended, and the participants moved to the subway - they were no longer attacked with tomatoes, but with fists. OMON reacted instantly - and the activists managed to go down to the metro station. Another circumstance played a role in a peaceful end. On this day, another action of nationalists (also dedicated to ethnic crime) took place on the embankment of Taras Shevchenko. It gathered from six hundred to eight hundred participants. The shares took place at the same time, and maybe the nationalists there were simply not aware of the events in pure ponds. And then, of course, the “Marsh of Equality” could have a completely different end. Almost like on Manezhnaya.
