“Steve loved to say that he lived every day as if it were his last day. And thanks to this he changed our life, business and managed to achieve the rarest in the human history of accomplishment: he changed how each of us looks at the world,” the US president added.

“The person who manages to leave such a significant mark in the history of mankind is rarely born. Steve Jobs, who managed to have an incomparable effect on many generations forward, refers to this rare category of people. Working with him was a great honor for all of us. I will be incredibly bored on the Steve,” Bill Gates found in his blog, RBC reports.

At the end of August, Jobs said that he was leaving the post of head of Apple for health reasons, his place was taken by Tim Cook. “I always said - if the day comes when I can’t fulfill my duties anymore and respond to expectations as Apple CEO, I will be the first to tell you about this. Unfortunately, this day has come,” Jobs said, published on the Apple website.

For the first time, Jobs became known about a serious illness in 2003. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Jobs had an operating form of the disease, and in 2004 he underwent a successful operation. In August 2008, the Bloomberg agency was published by Jobs Necrologist, and this was subsequently recognized as a technical mistake.

In January 2009, Jobs went on a six -month illness due to illness. Doctors found him liver cancer. After the operation and the rehabilitation period, Jobs returned to work. Throughout the treatment, Jobs continued to lead Apple from home.
