
If necessary, Russia will take part in the strategy of the exit of European countries from the crisis, said Assistant President of the Russian Federation Arkady Dvorkovich.
The issue of Russia's participation in the redemption of Spanish debt papers was discussed at a meeting of Alexei Kudrin and Sergey Lavrov at a meeting with the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Spanish government, Minister of Economics and Finance Elena Salgado, Interfax reports.
“We expect European countries to declare a specific, understandable strategy for overcoming the crisis. If support from Russia and other BRICS countries is needed in this strategy, we are ready to provide this support,” Dvorkovich emphasized.
However, according to him, such a strategy has not been announced, and currently talk about support prematurely.
Dvorkovich, along with the Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and the manager from the Russian Federation in the World Bark and the International Monetary Fund, Alexei Kudrin, took part in the millennium development forum. The first vice president of the Spanish government, Minister of Economics and Finance Elena Salgado also came to him.
Dvorkovich said that Kudrin and Lavrov met with Salgado and, including, discussed the issue of the possible participation of Russia in the exit of the crisis, the redemption of Spanish debt papers.
