Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin does not quite understand what the former Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko received seven years for. About this, according to the head of the Russian government, transmits Interfax from Beijing.
“Seven years - the figure is such ... The figure itself is good. True, I do not really understand why she was given these seven years, ”said Putin, who commented in Beijing at the request of journalists by the decision of the Ukrainian court in the Tymoshenko case. At the same time, Putin emphasized that the complex of gas agreements between Russia and Ukraine is dangerous and counter -productive to cast doubt on the set of negotiations with it.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry noted the “anti -Russian subtext” in the verdict of the Pechersk court and also called for compliance with previously reached gas agreements.
The Pechersky District Court of Kyiv sentenced Yulia Tymoshenko to seven years in prison for exceeding its authority by signing the contract. Prime Minister of Ukraine Nikolai Azarov has already stated that he was hoping for a compromise solution to the problem of the gas contract in the next 15 days.
