Before Left Front coordinator Sergei Udaltsov was released, he was detained again - this time for an action near the Central Election Commission building. Together with him, more than 15 activists who spoke for fair elections were detained. This happened on October 24th. Udaltsov and Left Front activist Dmitry Talantov were left at the police station overnight, but Udaltsov was later transported to the hospital because he began to have kidney pain. Let us remind you that earlier Udaltsov was arrested for 10 days after the Day of Wrath on October 12, he went on a dry hunger strike and was sent from a special detention center to the hospital and back several times. Meanwhile, on October 25, Udaltsov will face trial due to the fact that after another visit to the hospital, for some reason he did not return to the special detention center of his own free will, but went home.
Later it became known that Udaltsov was not in the hospital, and the police could not find him. At first, when the message about his disappearance from the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Moscow first appeared, Udaltsov replied that he was in the hospital, but then a press release appeared saying that the coordinator of the Left Front was in a “safe place.” At the same time, Udaltsov believes that he had the right to leave the hospital because he was not under guard, did not sign an obligation to appear at the police station and was not familiar with the protocol on the administrative offense before hospitalization.
