VEB does not want to buy a quarter of "Svyazinvest"

The VEB is categorically against a 25% redemption transaction, one promotion of Svyazinvest at Rostelecom, writes the newspaper RBC Daily with reference to a source close to the bank.

According to him, he considers this purchase "inappropriate." “Given the reassessment of the asset, the cost of this package will be about 50 billion rubles. But after the purchase of Svyazinvest, it will actually become nothing, since it will be liquidated or united with Rostelecom,” the source explains.

The "Development Bank" is ready to record his position during the next meeting of the commission on transport and communications under the chairmanship of Sergei Ivanov, the newspaper’s interlocutor states. The decision regarding the redemption will be made in the government, he notes.

VEB's position is known for the Board of Directors of Rostelecom, confirms a source in the Council. “There is, of course, an alternative option that we will discuss during the council - to transfer the package to the“ Svyazinvest ”. But here the question arises: where the state holding will take funds for such a purchase,” the source says. In addition, he adds, the VEB supervision council some time ago has already approved a ransom of 25% plus one action in Svyazinvest. The interlocutor in Vebe insists that this deal was approved "in another context" - even when it came to the redemption of the same package from the AFK "system".

The transfer of the package in Svyazinvest is needed in order to complete the reform of the state holding, attaching the management company to Rostelecom or eliminating it. If the papers remain on the balance of Rostelecom, then they acquire the status of treasury and must be extinguished. And this, in turn, will entail the blur of the state of the state in a united company. A few months ago, Elvira Nabiullina, Minister of Economic Development, paid attention to this. In an interview with Vedomosti, Yurchenko said that he categorically against moving the decision -making center from Svyazinvest to the Marshall Capital Partners investment fund, which he called Konstantin Malofeev, he called the Great Raider of Russia.
