For critical statements to the President of Afghanistan Karzai, the American General Fuller was fired - the second largest US soldier in Afghanistan. In an interview with the Internet publication, he called the Afghan leadership "unpredictable, far from reality and ungrateful." He was relieved of the post of deputy commander of the training of Afghan security forces, reports DW-World .
In an interview with the American political blog Politico, the general responded to the recent statements of Karzai, which said that in the event of an armed conflict between the United States and Pakistan, Afghanistan would side the latter. In this regard, Fuller said that he considers the Afghan leadership "unpredictable, far from reality and ungrateful." The leaders in Kabul, apparently, do not fully understand how many victims had to make America for the sake of their country, the general added.
According to Washington Post, Fuller gave an interview while in America, at the end of this week he intended to return to Kabul. However, the commander in chief of the US troops and the multinational stabilization forces in Afghanistan ISAF General Lieutenant John Allen dismissed him from his position. Explaining the decision, Allen noted that "Fuller's ill -conceived statements do not reflect the current strong ties with the Afghan leadership, or joint efforts aimed at achieving the set goals."
