The case against the head of the center of the village of Kushchevskaya, Alexander Khodych, was brought to court

A criminal case against the former head of Center E in the village of Kushchevskaya, Alexander Khodych, has been brought to court. Charges of fraud have been brought against him. According to investigators, the former policeman convinced a local businessman that he could close his criminal case and demanded a bribe. As a result, another resident of the village suffered - Khodych, on behalf of the deceived businessman, took his car away from him.

The investigation of the criminal case against the head of the department of the center for countering extremism in the village of Kushchevskaya of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate of the Krasnodar Territory , Alexander Khodych, has been completed. This was reported on Tuesday on the website of the Investigative Committee of Russia ( ICR ).

The policeman is accused of fraud committed using his official position on an especially large scale (Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code).

According to investigators, from March to April 2008, Alexander Khodych, who at that time headed the department for combating organized crime in Tikhoretsk, suggested that businessman Nikolai Gordik drop the criminal case against him. The businessman was accused of non-payment of wages and illegally obtaining a loan and was kept in custody. The case was being processed by the regional department of the Investigative Committee, so Khodych did not have any authority to make procedural decisions in his criminal case. Taking advantage of his official position, he repeatedly visited Gordik in the detention center, investigators report.

Khodych assured the accused that for 2 million rubles he would assist in terminating his criminal case.

The entrepreneur explained that he did not have that amount of money, but one of the residents of the village of Kushchevskaya owed him 3 million rubles because he did not fulfill his obligations when buying and selling vehicles. Then Khodych received a receipt from the businessman for the assignment of rights to claim the debt and demanded 3 million rubles from the debtor (his name is not disclosed). The debtor was unable to collect the required amount, and Khodych demanded to buy an Audi Q-7 car for him. But the village resident could not do this either.

As a result, the debtor gave him his own Infiniti G 35 car worth 970 thousand rubles.

“The investigation has collected a sufficient evidence base, and therefore the criminal case with an approved indictment has been sent to the court for consideration on the merits,” the Investigative Committee said in a statement.

Initially, the case against Khodych was classified under a less serious article - Part 1 of Art. 286 of the Criminal Code (exceeding official powers). Earlier, the media, with reference to local residents, reported that the former police officer was a friend and godfather of the main suspect in the Kushchevskaya massacre case, Sergei Tsapok . Khodych himself quickly denied this information. His house was located on the same street as the deceased farmer Server Ametov. CCTV cameras installed at the policeman's house could record who drove up to the farmhouse on the day of the murder. Khodych himself stated that investigators confiscated all his records.

In the case of mass murder in the village of Kushchevskaya, Krasnodar Territory, 11 defendants are awaiting trial.

Among them are the alleged leader of the Kushchevskaya organized crime group Sergei Tsapok, his closest associate and business partner Vyacheslav Tsepovyaz , Andrey Bykov , Vyacheslav Ryabtsev , Igor Chernykh, Nikolai Tsapok , Vladimir Zaporozhets, Alexey Gurov , Evgeny Gurov , Vyacheslav Skachedub , Vladimir Alekseev . Two more members of the group committed suicide. Vitaly Ivanov in Krasnodar on June 30, 2011 hanged himself in a pre-trial detention center . He was found in the cell hanging in a noose made from a sheet and attached to the grille of the ventilation shaft. A month later, on August 1, Sergei Karpenko (nicknamed Rhys) died. A few days before, he tried to hang himself by tying a piece of cloth to a pipe passing through the room. When he was found, he was still alive. Doctors fought for his life, but to no avail.

Investigators came to the conclusion that he was not involved in the murder of 12 people in the village of Kushchevskaya. According to the investigation, he was the deputy director of Artex-Agro LLC and dealt only with economic issues, in particular, control of the harvesting of agricultural products and the purchase of fuels and lubricants. He also remained a deputy of the Kushchevsky District Council until his arrest on November 15, 2010.

In August, the trial against the mother of the main accused of murder in the village of Kushchevskaya ended. Nadezhda Tsapok was found guilty of fraud in obtaining subsidies by her company Artex-Agro. The court sentenced her to three years in prison.

The youngest defendant, 17-year-old Igor Maydanyuk , was sentenced in July to four and a half years in a juvenile correctional facility. He was also detained on suspicion of involvement in the massacre, but the charges against him were subsequently dropped. As a result, Maydanyuk was convicted of unlawful taking of a car (clause “c” of Part 2 of Article 166 of the Criminal Code), beatings (clause “a” of Part 2 of Article 116 of the Criminal Code), intentional infliction of minor harm to health for hooligan reasons (clause "a" part 2 of article 115 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), as well as for the acquisition and storage of drugs (part 2 of article 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

On November 5, 2010, in the village of Kushchevskaya, 12 people, including four children, were killed in one of the private houses. According to investigators, the cause of death of one young child was carbon monoxide poisoning, the second was strangulation. The remaining ten people died from numerous stab wounds inflicted on them. After the murder, the criminals set the house on fire in an attempt to cover their tracks. Among the dead was the farmer and owner of the house, Server Ametov, his family and acquaintances. According to law enforcement agencies, the Tsapka gang has been operating in the Kushchevsky district since 1995. The criminal group was engaged in racketeering, collecting tribute from local farmers and businessmen. Sergei Tsapok, suspected of organizing an organized crime group and mass murder, was a deputy of the Kushchevsky District Municipal Council until 2010 and headed the budget committee.
