As Interfax reports, testing the actions of the temporary information center is provided for in the plan for command post exercises to eliminate the consequences of an emergency power outage. According to the Ministry of Press and Information of the Moscow Region, the exercises will take place on December 1 at the branch of OJSC "MOESK" - Northern Electric Networks.
“The experience of eliminating the consequences of natural disasters at the end of 2010 and the beginning of 2011 convinces us that, along with technical and organizational measures, it is necessary to improve the work of informing the population. Thus, the information and communication component is taken over by the relevant department, eliminating the operational and technical staff , dispatchers from their unusual functions of answering calls from indignant citizens,” the ministry said in a statement.
