Russian President Dmitry Medvedev noted that a satisfactory result in the parliamentary elections does not mean that governors can breathe easy.

Speaking to his supporters in Gorki, the president said that certain organizational conclusions could be made regarding those governors proposed by United Russia and who were unable to ensure success in the Duma elections.

Dmitry Medvedev recalled the system of appointing governors in Russia, who are approved by the president. He stated the need to pay attention to regions where the party in power was unable to gain the support and trust of citizens.

D. Medvedev called this state of affairs in a number of regions “a signal for the authorities.” “This is already a question for organizational conclusions that I must make as the President of the Russian Federation,” the president concluded, recalling that he had already warned the heads of regions about this.

According to the Central Election Commission at 14:00 Moscow time, based on the results of processing 96% of the protocols of election commissions in the Russian Federation in the elections to the State Duma, United Russia received 49.42% of the votes, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation - 19.19%, the Liberal Democratic Party received 11.66% , "A Just Russia" - 13.22%, "Yabloko" - 3.3%, "Patriots of Russia" - 0.97%, "Right Cause" - 0.59%.

Let us recall that in the elections in 2007. "United Russia" received 64.3% and 315 seats in parliament, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation - 11.57% and 57 seats, "A Just Russia" had 7.74% and 38 seats, the LDPR gained 8.14% and received 40 seats in parliament.
