I received an SMS from one of the former vice-speakers of the State Duma: “Gena is a coward, he got it at 40%, agreed to 19.”
Whether this is true or not, I can no longer be surprised by anything in this life...
By the way, purely psychological impressions from our party leaders on election night (all of them, except for “Right Cause,” were in Solovyov’s studio).
Mironov, Yavlinsky, Zhirinovsky - who are bursting with anger and sputtering with saliva, talking about candidates being beaten and observers being carried out by the arms and legs, who philosophically, contemplatively and sarcastically ridicule the ongoing election absurdity, who are stung by Orwellian inequality and the rudeness of the authorities, in general, do everything right - this is exactly how the leaders of opposition parties whose votes were stolen should behave. And only Gena glows with happiness and self-satisfaction. Wow, we managed to negotiate with the Kremlin not for a bald 11 percent, like last time, but for a whole 19! Well, really, nah.. slightly, they promised 20, well, when they don’t hire us... So why make noise? The faction has practically doubled, the loot has been recaptured, but the fact that there should have been not 90 deputies, but 180 - well, shrinkage, emasculation, is an everyday matter. As the unforgettable Uncle Valya said, “50 people are a faction, 150 people are an uncontrollable crowd of parasites” (c).
And also psychological. Who do you think looked like the most lively and handsome person? - Grisha Yavlinsky. He did not look like a powdered doll, like the others, but quite a person of flesh and blood. Apparently, having taken a time out and disappeared from politics for 4 years, he drank buckets of Makropoulos’ remedy and now looks refreshed and 20 years younger.
It’s funny that almost all the leaders climbed onto Solovyov’s podium, each rattling off his own (Soloviev unsuccessfully tried to turn the monologue into a dialogue, but with no one except Grisha it worked - the leaders did not hear the questions point-blank and sang that your akyn, oh whatever they wanted), and having finished broadcasting, they quickly left the studio, despite the fact that not the least people in the country were eager to communicate and ask questions. Zyuganov clumsily climbed down from the podium, showed everyone his “rotfront” fist and lumbered towards the exit. Zhirik slapped himself on the wrist, where his wristwatch was (I don’t have time, I need to go to the Kremlin) and left with the look of the Duce speaking to the Romans from a balcony in Piazza Venice. Mironov showed himself to be the biggest boor, whom Vitaly Tovievich Tretyakov v_tretyakov tried to hold almost by the coattails: “Sergey Mikhailovich, can I ask a question?...” - Mironov turned his back to the audience, said something like “watch TV, there are answers to all questions" and left without saying goodbye.
And only Grisha spoke normally, answered questions, said smart things. After I got off the podium, I sat a little longer in the hall, vividly reacting to what was happening. In general, wow.
